Kari Dolembo, LMFT-Intern
Therapist
I provide compassionate, client-centered therapy rooted in empathy, understanding, and a genuine commitment to helping clients feel safe, heard, and supported. My goal is to create a stable and comfortable therapeutic environment where clients feel like they are talking with a trusted friend or family member—without judgment and with the freedom to share their story openly. I believe that feeling comfortable and understood is an important first step toward meaningful change.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client's individual needs and goals. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), mindfulness, emotional regulation, communication and conflict-resolution strategies, and trauma-informed interventions. I work with clients to develop practical coping skills, improve emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and interpersonal concerns. I specialize in behavioral interventions for youth and enjoy helping children and adolescents develop healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and positive behavioral patterns. I also support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, relationship and family difficulties, anger, stress, grief, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions.
Whether working individually, with couples, or with families, I strive to meet clients where they are and create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. I believe therapy should be a place where clients can be their authentic selves, explore difficult experiences at their own pace, and recognize the strengths they already possess. My goal is not simply to help clients manage their symptoms, but to help them build the skills and confidence necessary to create healthier relationships, greater emotional stability, and a more fulfilling life.
My motto: Make every client feel like family or a trusted friend—safe, supported, and comfortable enough to share their story.
